Fairy mentors and mentees reunion
A reunion for the Fairy Mentorship Programme, co-organized by NWS Holdings Limited and Hans Andersen Club, was held on 9 October 2010. During the event, awards were presented to active participants in the programme.

Personal hygienic items donation to underprivileged children
In October, NWS Holdings donated over 1,200 toiletry items to the Fresh Fish Traders' School and a visit to the NWFB depot was arranged for their students.

Balloon twisting workshop
At a balloon twisting workshop organized by The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society on 24 July 2010, seven NWS Volunteer Alliance members taught some 50 secondary students so that they could apply the balloon twisting skill acquired to their volunteer services.

Fully Dark Experience
NWS Charities Foundation sponsored Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Ma On Shan (South) Children & Youth Integrated Service Centre to organize a Fully Dark Experience on 23 July 2010. Through visiting Dialogue in the Dark Exhibition, 24 primary school students experienced what it was like to live without vision.

Shanghai Expo Youth Learning Programme
As a diamond sponsor of Hong Kong's participation in the Shanghai Expo, NWS Holdings also launched Shanghai Expo Youth Learning Programme in conjunction with YWCA. NWS Charities Foundation fully sponsored 27 secondary school students from Tin Shui Wai to join the five-day learning tour in July 2010. Participants interviewed visitors to the Expo and gave them an introduction to Tin Shui Wai. The Group also arranged for the students to visit one of its investment projects, Shanghai SCIP Water Treatment Plants.

Closing ceremony of "Stand by You" Mentorship Programme
The closing ceremony of the half-year "Stand by You" Mentorship Programme was held on 29 May 2010. Around 30 mentors and mentees reviewed the activities together through a photo and video show, shared their feelings towards the programme and exchanged gifts. NWS Holdings and Hong Kong Playground Association presented the mentors and mentees with various awards in recognition of their active participation and the notable progress made by some of the mentees.

Toy donation to the underprivileged children
New World Group organized a toy collection competition from 19 March to 8 April 2010 and collected over 700 toys. The Champion, First runner-up and Second runner-up were New World TMT Limited, New World Strategic Investment Limited and NW Project Management Limited respectively.
Volunteers from New World Group delivered the collected toys to the underprivileged children in Tung Chung at the Toy Bank Fun Day organized by the Toy Bank of YMCA of Hong Kong in May 2010. |

Corporate Sustainability for Schools Programme
Being a Corporate Partner of the Corporate Sustainability for Schools Programme, NWS Holdings strives to promote corporate sustainability to secondary school students. On 9 March 2010, the Group organized a site visit to City One Shatin, a property managed by Urban Property Management Limited, for a group of students from Caritas Wu Cheng-chung Secondary School to learn about the green facilities at the property and the Group's sustainability strategy. |

Visiting Noah's Ark with South Asians
To build a harmonic and inclusive society, 12 members of NWS Volunteer Alliance took 32 South Asian schoolchildren from Yaumati Kaifong Association School on a visit to the Noah's Ark on 9 January 2010. This is part of the Capacity Building for the Ethnic Minorities and the Chinese New Immigrants Towards Social Inclusion programme organized by Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Participants got to experience life through enjoying the exhibition and games.

"Stand by You" Mentorship Programme
Interaction between mentors and mentees of the "Stand by You" Mentorship Programme officially began in December 2009. NWS Holdings and Hong Kong Playground Association co-organized several activities for the participants in December 2009, January 2010 and March 2010, including the Kick-off Ceremony cum Adventure Training and an elderly visit in Wong Tai Sin District complete with household cleaning services.
