Packing Hygiene Kits for the Elderly
Since Atypical Pneumonia poses an unprecedented crisis to Hong
Kong citizens, NWS Volunteer Alliance feels strongly obliged to help prevent
people from contracting the virus. We joined Hong Kong Red Cross in its
Campaign for Helping the Vulnerable and the Needy to Prevent Atypical
Pneumonia, in which 100,000 hygiene kits were delivered to those frail and
singleton elderly. From 11 to 26 April 2003, our volunteers provided assistance
in packing sterilizing tablets, surgical masks, alcohol pads and SARS
prevention guidelines into those kits.
