NWS Hong Kong Geo Wonders Hike

In support of the establishment of Hong Kong National Geopark, for the second consecutive year, NWS Holdings jointly organizes NWS Hong Kong Geo Wonders Hike with the Association for Geoconservation, Hong Kong. Through public guided tours, participants were able to appreciate and learn about the natural geological scenic spots in Hong Kong.

The Launching Ceremony cum Discover Northeast New Territories Tour was held on 29 November 2009. Some 3,000 local citizens took part in the hiking tour to appreciate the geo wonders in Wu Kau Tang.

Three more activities have been scheduled for December 2009 and January 2010.

NWS Hong Kong Geo Wonders Hike - Public Guided Tours

NWS Holdings fully supports NWS Hong Kong Geo Wonders Hike. From January to April 2009, over 70 Public Guided Tours were organized for members of the public to visit Ma Shi Chau Special Area, East Dam of High Island Reservoir in Sai Kung, Shek O, Bride's Pool, Tung Ping Chau and Ngong Ping. The activity received overwhelming response, with a total enrolment of over 2,000.
