NWS Holdings is in the business of improving the environment and the quality of life for our community. As a responsible corporate citizen, we foster a responsibility amongst our staff to hold society as our company stakeholder and work towards its improvement; support and participate in various kinds of charitable events for community awareness; and employ the best environmental practice at all levels of our operations.

NWS Volunteer Alliance, the Group's corporate volunteer team, was set up on 17 November 2001. It has more than 1,900 members who have devoted over 67,000 hours in community service up to now. Based on the vision "We serve our society with what we know, what we have and what our heart has told us", we are committed to:

• enhancing the quality of life and build a better environment for those who need help
• remunerating society with our diversified and excellent services
• setting an example in society in enriching the life of the needy
• providing worthwhile opportunities for our devoted workforce in better serving our community

Our Logo and Slogan

The logo, the slogan and the team name of NWS Volunteer Alliance were selected from numerous entries of open competition held within the Group. According to the winning staff, the logo is derived from the simplified character of "義" (which means volunteer) which also symbolizes a person who brings love and happiness to the people in need.
